The build
We would rather show the work than promise a date
The building exists, it is leased, it is being fitted out. This page says where things stand. It is short for now, and that is normal: it grows as the work moves forward.
Why this page exists
A self-storage site under construction usually shows render images and an opening date. The images are pretty and the date keeps moving. We do the opposite: photos of what is actually built, and a deadline we correct instead of repeating.
If you join the list before opening, you are taking a risk. It might as well be a documented one.
Where things stand
- The building
- Leased and occupied. 1,800 m² right on the E42, split in two by a solid wall.
- The depot half
- In service. This is where the pellet pallets go out from.
- The slab and the unit area
- Concrete in place, area marked out, separate entrance identified.
- Partitions and doors
- Under way. This is the step that everything else depends on.
- Aisle lighting
- To be done, after the partitions.
- Code-based access control
- Ordered, to be installed after the partitions.
- Cameras
- To be done, after access control.
- Opening to the first tenants
- Announced on this page as soon as the doors lock, not before.
Last update to this list: at every step reached. If nothing has moved in a while, it means nothing has moved.
The photos
They are coming. Until we have a real photo of the build, we will not post one: a render image on a page called 'the build' would be exactly the one thing not to do here.
Take a place before opening
